Marriage 101 Classes
Starr & Bob Calo–oy are the hosts of Marriage 101 on KKYX radio, 680am, every Saturday morning from 10–11am. They have ongoing, weekly marriage classes for married couples in their home and they are FREE! You don’t have to wait till the classes start over– you can join any time! Whether you are a marriage class leader, have a stellar marriage, a so–so marriage or are having problems communicating, these classes can bless you and your spouse. The classes are held every Thursday evening from 7–9pm. Take a look at the summer class schedule and sign up now!
Class Information

- COST: We teach the class at no cost to you. Simply pay the $50.00 manual & materials fee per couple for all 14 classes.
- TERMS: Couples are welcome to attend all 14 classes. If a couple wants to join group anytime after classes start, ex: July 9th, no problem, they are welcome. They must still pay the $50.00 per couple fee. We must order and pay for manuals and the handouts, so the cost for us is the same regardless of when you join the group. We do not charge anything for teaching these classes, it’s our ministry!
- COUNSELING: We provide free counseling for any married couple desiring to make a positive change in their relationship.
- CHILDCARE: There is no childcare provided and no children allowed. This is a time you need to concentrate on your marriage, so please arrange dependable childcare.
Class Summary
- ♥ Classes are free, materials and dinners are only $50.00 per couple every 3 months.
- ♥ You can join a class anytime. No need to wait until they start over again.
- ♥ Classes are not repeated– A new class/topic every week.
- ♥ No childcare provided– this is for your marriage.
- ♥ Dinner is from 6:15–7pm. Class is from 7–9pm.
- ♥ Class is held every Thursday pm.
- ♥ Invite your family & friends.
- ♥ Classes held year around with 2–3 week breaks every 6–8 weeks to give all of us an opportunity to vacation and to apply what we have learned.
- ♥ We are led by the Holy Spirit, so upon occassion, we may change the class topic/schedule.
- ♥ We have a bible–based curriculum which we write ourselves– we use many resourses in addition to teaching what we have learned personally over the 30+ years we have been married.
- ♥ One of our secretaries will be calling you to see if you are coming each week so we can get a count for the food– our numbers vary week to week, so please be prepared to give them an accurate RSVP!
- ♥ We encourage you to read through our website, www.marriage101.net to get to know who we are and what we believe, as well as our radio & TV schedule and listen to our podcasts– we have terrific guests on our one–hour radio show each Saturday morning and you can learn many tips for your marriage by listening to them.

- The love she craves and the respect he needs can be satisfied by learning how to honor each other.

- You may be surprised what GOD says your roles are supposed to be– this is NOT a teaching on submission!
- April 1, 2010: Understanding & Establishing Healthy Boundaries
- A successful relationship is composed of two individuals each with a clearly defined sense of her or his own identity who are also one–flesh– only God can make you two one and allow you to keep yourself in the process.
- April 8, 2010: No Class!

- How to overcome selfishness and stop being angry at your spouse

Summary
Having a great marriage takes time, study and work but it can be fun, believe it or not! Isn’t your marriage worth sacrificing two hours, one evening per week to concentrate on it? Keep in mind that your marriage manual will be used for all other marriage classes in this course. Fall classes will be offered as well, but the curriculum will be different than the summer class.
